Time to refresh things for baseball season. We've got new sections to the blog roll you'll find in the right-hand column, with new sources for baseball. And, of course, some headlines that we've wanted to point to.

The Detroit News has updates on the physical well-being of Carlos Guillen and Dimitri Young, plus its own Lou Whitaker story.

And, I have to complain about their photo galleries a little bit. I'm annoyed that a major media organization can't properly copy edit its internet offerings. Every caption in the Saturday gallery has the same two errors: Tiger's and Lakeland,Florida. I blame the photographer.

I like the early looks of Danny Knobler's blog. In contrast, Tom Gage of the Detroit News seems handicapped by unfriendly technology. Of course, the Free Press doesn't even have a blog.

Tiger Blog has an excellent rebuttal to a Rob Parker column.

The Oakland Press doesn't have a dedicated Tigers category, but they do have a nice overview of the team as it heads into spring training:

Let's put it this way: Leyland had more coaching jobs to fill in the offseason than he has open roster spots to decide on this spring. ... So what decisions need to be made down in Florida before opening the 2006 season April 3?

Finding a fifth starting pitcher, deciding who will be the starting center fielder, awarding a few bullpen spots and putting together a workable rotation of three first basemen.
