I've run across a few other places, mostly where these papers attempt to run blogs. Who knows, some of them might even be worth reading.
The Independent has a fan blog, including a reasonable post from someone calling himself Dflex who has some sort of Star Wars fascination. The Journal Star runs another fan blog, which at least merits *lots* of comments.
The Journal Star's staff blog, Life in the Red, looks pretty good -- some random stuff, some quick updates.
The Detroit News's roundup blog is on the other end of the spectrum. There are some interesting posts, but you can't link to them. So, look for a post called "Times are changing in Big Ten."
[T]o see the role reversal, with Michigan get passed over the way other teams usually get passed over in favor of the Wolverines, is big news in the Big Ten. No longer can the U-M athletic department sit back and rely on its reputation in these situations. Those days apparently are over.
That's from the MSU beat writer, so, whatever. His point is this idea that Iowa fans will travel better than Michigan fans, who've been going to New Year's Day games for the last decade. Perhaps that something else we can examine.
