I'd be remiss if I didn't take over coverage of this year's Alamo Bowl. After all, I know all of the principles. For the first time since 1986, Michigan will face Nebraska, in a game that the Wolverines didn't want to be in, but I think the Cornhusker faithful are happy to get to, since they had to stay home last season.
For the next few weeks, hopefully, this will operate like I really think a sports blog should act -- link to everything your opponent is thinking about you. So here are the places you need to know, whether you're a fan of the Maize and Blue or our boy Herbie.
Michigan
- Detroit Free Press
- The Detroit News
- The Michigan Daily
- mlive.com and The Ann Arbor News
- The folks at mlive also host two blogs -- Blue Notes, which hasn't been updated in weeks, and The Diag, where a former Dailyite has been quite on top of things.
Nebraska
- The Omaha World-Herald
- The Lincoln Journal-Star
- The Grand Island Independent (yeah, have to include the site I used to run)
- The Daily Nebraskan, though for the life of me I can't find an Alamo Bowl story on there right now.
- Huskerpedia, which has been compiling Nebraska headlines for years. And what do you know, there's an M-focused 'pedia' too, though they don't seem to have as much.
