Just wanted to get in a record of the Red Wings changing coaches. After a cancelled season of play, the NHL is starting to come around, even though there’s still no guarantee of a collective bargaining agreement, but plenty of certainty that the league will be different.
There’s almost no doubt the owners will get their salary cap and the socialism of American sports will continue. Of course, as you look at some of the salaries, all these guys can’t possibly be worth that much.
Some other stories worth a read:
- MITCH ALBOM: Lewis out as Wings coach — here’s why: A good guy simply was here too long
- Not that there’s been an official announcement, but the odds on favorite to get the job Babcock likes team to play grimy hockey
- Scotty ready to resume with Wings: Consultant’s role is his only interest
- And, oh yeah, Steve Yzerman’s playing golf again.
