Previews of Blue

Time for The Big Game (no corporate sponsor, yet), so it’s time to get serious about this sports blogging stuff. And its time for basketball season, so it’s time to get even more serious.

Football preview: Rosey writes today about Marlin Jackson and Steve Breaston, each of whom has been less active then they might have hoped. Jackson because teams rarely throw the ball his way, Breaston because of foot and finger injuries. For the rivalry, they’re ready for the spotlight.

On the OSU side, the Buckeyes acknowledge their spoiler role as they look to save their season. Bowl eligible isn’t really satisfactory in Columbus. And, it sounds like Michigan knows it.

Hoops preview: Look for Courtney Sims to be a key part as the lead big man after gaining 25 pounds with an off-season workout program.

Oh, and Rosey tried to fix college football a while back, at least the part about avoiding a playoff system. I’ll just say, “Agreed,” and we can all get on with instituting a playoff system.
