Welcome, brave new blog world

I kinda told somebody about this the other day. So now I'm slightly more motivated to do some sprucing up around here. I mean, it's gotten to be kind of a mess. All these blogs testing different things. Versions, upon versions of this concept. This whole web thing has been going on quite a while (there's a blog-like thing from 1998 hanging around). But fear not, dear reader, this space is about to get simpler and easier to follow.

Do you like what you're doing?

DSCN4789.JPG

I've been kicking this idea around for a while, so it's about time I actually blog it. Oh, and the signs of spring are showing up. While this photo was taken a while ago, I'd also like to mention that I was sitting on the patio last night, listening to the radio, almost like baseball season.

On the Web: design and dialog

If you're a fan of the previous "quoting" and "reading" blogs, you'll like this new category. With two friends down in Austin for the music of SxSW, I got caught up in the interactive segment that played out earlier in the week.

And now, despite an office conversation questioning its existance, I've signed up for del.icio.us.

Friday at the ballroom

We started our weekend rather unexpectedly -- at the Cincinnati International Wine Festival after some co-workers couldn't use their tickets. If I marked everything correctly, we tasted 33 wines. I seem to like Southern France, Jen likes sweet and bubbly.

Turkey cutlets in white wine sauce

Turkey cutlets in white wine sauce

Tonight's dinner was a new recipe out of our Best Light Recipes book. We added some roasted potatoes, sauteed asparagus and a simple salad. Cooked with, and served with, a Pinot Blanc d'Alsace. Tasty.

We've got blossoms

We've got blossoms

We came home tonight and had to take pictures of our flowering trees, starting with the weeping cherry in the front.

Cherry tree bursting

Remember yesterday's shot of the cherry tree? Well, it's got a lot more flowers on it today.
