We bought so many plants

I'd point you to The Black Barn in Lebanon on the internet, but I've not found a site, so you get a map. We mainly went to get more lobelia, but figured we might as well get some color at the same time.
So, here's where we're at: We've got the planting boxes built, we've acquired some peat moss (Delhi Garden Center, also a good place, despite the bare site.) and know where we can get various kinds of compost. Still working on the vermiculite portion of the equation.
Our other Sunday project, was a fruit tart -- Frank and Jerome's Strawberry and Rhubarb number. We had a lot of strawberries and the Jungle has rhubarb in season.
Another thing on sale last week: Ahi tuna. So, after garden cleanup, roast the asparagus and sear the tuna -- a perfect palate-preparer for sweet tart.
In other backyard news, one iris survived and is now blooming, and I finally got out to take some pictures. (We got two from a neighbor last fall, but haven't seen the other one.)
Oh, and I'd be remiss if i didn't give you a glimpse of the lamb chops we grilled last week.
We grilled asparagus and potatoes and made some bruschetta as well. You'll also notice the new "outdoor" dishes and the new tray -- all acquired during last week's outlet shopping trip. And yes, Little Penguin makes a fine pinot.
