We can all agree that "new" doesn't always mean "better." And yet, I keep trying all kinds of new ways to gather and sort information. Perhaps you've noticed the new cincy blogs piece at the bottom of the right-hand column, powered by Google's Reader. And now, despite an office conversation questioning its existance, I've signed up for del.icio.us.

Much like the sheer number of blogs I've kept, I just keep tryin' stuff to see if I find it useful, always looking for a better way to do whatever it is I'm doing.

Which brings me to this other new thing: kottke is all happy about Twitter.

Playing with Twitter reminds me of blogging circa 2000. Back then, all weblogs were personal in nature and most people used them to communicate with their friends and family. ... When one thing (i.e. Twitter) is easier than something else (i.e. blogging) and offers almost the same benefits, people will use it.

I have to agree. I'm always looking for the easiest way to do something, whether it be collecting links that I want to write about or post photos or keep you up to date with what I'm up to. Assuming anyone is interested in such updates.

Hints welcome.
