Still on our first day, in the afternoon, we went down to Makena State Park to visit the beaches. This is known as Big Beach.

O.k., so this is another shot at the beach from our hotel room. We stopped off to change clothes after lunch.

This one is known as Little Beach. It's right next to Big Beach, but you have to climb a bit to get there.

From the parking lot, you walk right onto one side of Big Beach. Climbing up a rock formation (sort of on the way to Little Beach) you can get this view.

As the sun sets, the waves keep rolling in.
