The Chinatown Gate started our day.

Today's transportation included the famed cable cars, the new (but old looking) F-Market street car and good old-fashioned shoe leather around Chinatown.

Around lunchtime, we were intentionally near Ghiradelli Square. Saving the ice cream for later, we surveyed our options and selected Boudin, a bread shop, so a sandwhich on sourdough was inevitable.

Eating with a nice view of the bay (not the bridge, no, that was covered in fog) we then picked one of the three chocolate outlets on the square and found a brownie concoction to our liking.

For dinner, we tried the trendy small plates of Cortez. No particular serving is very large, so as a table you're sharing everything. We ordered a crab cake to function as an appetizer, then a ricotta ravioli and a chicken with potatoes to serve as entrees. For dessert we turned to a peach cheesecake & sugar and spice beignets.
