Feasting time, this one with pork chops and Beaujolais Nouveau.

I've decided that, upon getting out of bed, one of the things I most look forward too each day is coming home to spend time on my patio. Yes, the back patio, with the birds and crickets and clouds, is quite the draw, especially when you're facing a long day of having to get things done. (Luckily, this office has windows so I can see the sun, and the ball park for that matter.)

See, here's the view out my window. You'll have to trust me that the ball park is off to the right.

Weekends especially, it's time for outside work. (At least, after the trip to market.) The lawn must be mowed and then dinner must be grilled. (If things are going well, of course, lunch was grilled too. :)

In any case, here's what things look like. Or looked like two weeks ago. I've been a little tardy about posting. But, I'll entice you with the thought of more photos coming soon of our most recent feasting. Mmm, steak.

Yep, the lawn's getting healthier and the patio's getting more crowded. Tomato, lettuce and a collection of herbs are our first gardening projects.

We've started some vegetables. The tomato was doing quite well. It's stuggling a bit, but we've got another yet to transplant. The lettuce we'll have to try again.
