Vacation (self) portraits

Lest I lose that pattern of posting I had going, I went back into the archives to find a few photos of us, mostly taken by us. Well, me with an outstretched hand. And if you think what's up above is good, you should know that there were some really great facial expressions on previous attempts and I have some sort of need to scrunch up my face and lean way back when trying these. Looks wholly unnatural. But I seem to be getting better at it. Or maybe I should spring for a little tripod.

Okay, Jen is on the right side in only one photograph? Does that mean something? Is that a hidden message?
Also, I understand why you went to Italy, but why did you come back?

If I'm holding the camera and taking my picture, it's easier to use my left hand, which is the only thing I'm trying to hide. Hence, she has to be in my right hand.
As for Italy, I have no good explanation. We brought back a new love of espresso and lots of photos though. And our Italian, while good enough to order dinner, wouldn't allow us to earn money. Though if we could work anywhere in the world, the terrace of the Hotel Buon Pesce is currently leading the pack.
