Happy New Year

Yeah, I'm a little bit behind. Lost time, lost motivation, maybe a little of both. Anyway, doesn't matter. Time to start catching up, but I wanted to give a nod to a few things I read around the flipping of the calendar.

• "I resolve to keep the spirit of Johnny Cash alive by seeking out independent music and by resisting all attempts by PR machines to convince me that pop music is anything other than soft-core pornography with a bad soundtrack." — Thanks, Mike. We all need that reminder occasionally.
• "If there is a God and they are His creatures, not ours, then there is indeed a higher law regarding their care and we must answer to it -- not just when it suits us, not just when we feel the spirit upon us, and not just when it's cost-efficient, but always." — Another perspective on environmentalism. Fairly powerful argument.
