Arriving in Aruba

While it was dark when we got up to head to the airport, the planes behaved well, we made our connection without any difficulties and we arrived mid-afternoon.

The winds are everything they were advertised to be.

The bus ride from the aiport to the hotels isn't very scenic (they should work on that) but after a quick slide through town, we went through the hotel area dropping people off.

Our room had a reasonable view of the beach, the pool area and the roof of the casino next door: palm trees and satellite dishes.

All we did after getting to the hotel was eat.

We went down to the buffet, which was our only option for dinner by then. Barbeque night went fine. There were quite a number of options and having a dessert table is always nice.
